Christofer Guarino

Christofer founded Alpine Strategic Partners to help banks, wealth management institutions, financial services firms, and fintech companies evolve in ways that enable them to better serve their clients.

Before founding Alpine Strat., Christofer was the Head of Relationship Management & Business Development for Citi’s Alliance & Wealth Services business. He was part of the leadership team that built and launched the business pulling together resources across Citi, originating relationships with new institutions, designing coverage best practices, and working with technology partners (internal and external) to design infrastructure. His experiences at Citi also included serving as the subject matter expert for banks, broker dealers, and wealth managers on the Markets & Securities Services Global Strategy team as well as a Sr. Relationship Manager covering some of the bank’s largest institutional relationships.

Prior to joining Citi, Christofer spent nearly a decade at Strategas Partners. He was hired by the founders in the firms early growth stages. During his time at Strategas he helped to grow the firm’s trading & capital markets business as well as working as part of the team which launched Strategas Asset Management. In addition, he produced content for his institutional clients with research highlights and commentary on geopolitics and industry trends. He continued to perform the same duties after Strategas became a subsidiary of RW Baird until he was recruited to Citi as part of the bank’s efforts to become the ‘bank for banks’

Christofer holds a BA from Fordham University in International Studies. He is a member of the board of trustees of Mount Saint Mary College and has served as an investment committee member for several endowments. Christofer grew up climbing in the Adirondacks & Shawangunks and has over a decade of experience climbing in the Italian, Swiss, and Austrian Alps including summiting the Matterhorn and several other +4,000m peaks inspiring the firm’s name.
